What Knomart Measures and Publishes

Knomart should not measure success by the numbers that look impressive. It should publish evidence that shows whether the community is actually creating economic value.

A growing member count can look like progress, but size alone does not tell you whether Knomart is working. The model is designed to measure what happens between members, merchants and opportunities, then publish enough evidence for people to understand what is really happening.

Measure Economic Value, Not Just Activity

The central question is whether membership creates economic value between members. Knomart calls this Member Economic Value (MEV): the total value earned, saved or transacted because members connected through Knomart.

Publish the Numbers That Explain the Model

MEV needs supporting measures that explain where value comes from and where the system may be struggling. These include:

  • Free-to-paid conversion for members and merchants
  • Member earning rate
  • Applications before a member's first win
  • Opportunity density per member and estate
  • Merchant retention at six and twelve months
  • Agent survival rate
  • Member-to-merchant progression

These measures answer different questions. Conversion tests whether the organisation can fund itself. Earning rate shows whether paying members actually earn. Applications before a first win reveal the friction new members face. Opportunity density shows whether useful work exists where members live. Retention shows whether merchant implementations hold.

Publish Failures Too

Transparency becomes weak when only successful outcomes are shown. People who leave, pause, struggle or fail to find a suitable opportunity are part of the distribution and should not disappear from the evidence simply because their results are less attractive.

Do Not Invent Results

A metric can be defined before there is enough data to report it. That is acceptable. What matters is making the distinction clear between what Knomart measures and what Knomart has actually achieved.

Why Publishing Matters

The purpose of measurement is not to create a perfect-looking dashboard. It is to give members, merchants and observers evidence they can use to understand the model. Good numbers can confirm that something is working; uncomfortable numbers can reveal what needs fixing.

Knomart earns trust by making the evidence visible—including the numbers that expose its weaknesses. Measure the real system, publish the meaningful outcomes and let the data tell the story.
