Free Does Not Mean Starting Over
If a merchant stops paying, Knomart moves the business to the Free tier. The important part is what that does not mean: it does not erase the business history that has already been built.
Your starter software remains available, including your sales, customers, catalogue, basic inventory and basic reports. Your records continue to form part of the history of your business.
What You Temporarily Leave Behind
Moving to Free means giving up the higher-level capabilities that come with a paid plan. Depending on what your business had been using, that can include vertical trade apps, advanced automation, multi-user access, advanced analytics and enhanced visibility.
These are capabilities your business may have grown into. Losing access to them is different from losing the underlying business record.
When You Resume, You Do Not Rebuild Your Business
Coming back to a paid plan is about restoring the capabilities your business needs—not recreating the history you already created.
That distinction matters. A merchant who has spent months recording sales, managing customers and building a catalogue should be able to make a plan change without feeling that they have to start from zero later.
The Better Reason to Come Back
Knomart does not need to threaten a merchant with the loss of their records. The stronger reason to resume is practical: your business may have outgrown the Free capabilities and need the tools it was using before.
If you need vertical apps, automation, additional users, deeper analytics or stronger visibility again, moving back up is a decision about what your business needs now.
You can step down without starting over. Your plan can change, your capabilities can change, and when you come back, the business history you built is still part of the journey.
